SUGAR BOWL RECEIVES SIX INCHES OF NEW SNOW IN RECENT TAHOE STORM, ANNOUNCES EARLY SEASON OPERATIONS PLAN

(Donner Summit, CA) – The recent storm that moved through Tahoe dropped six inches of early-season snow on Sugar Bowl Resort last night, allowing mountain operations to move snowmaking guns toward new terrain and improve the timeline for additional run, chair and terrain openings. With two feet of natural snow and ample snowmaking production thus far, Sugar Bowl is open for skiing and riding on two chair lifts and two trails, with a base of 15 to 18 inches. Open through the Thanksgiving weekend, Sugar Bowl will close Monday, November 30th through Friday, December 4th, reopening for weekend skiing and riding on December 5th and 6th. While current operation plans call for Sugar Bowl to close again midweek December 7th through 11th, reopening permanently for the season on December 12th, resort management will closely watch weather patterns that would warrant any changes to the plan.
