SEATTLE, Wash. (Nov. 4, 2009) – Ride Snowboards today named long-time Rockies sales rep Shawn Penrod as its U.S. Sales & Marketing Manager to operate in the trenches as the liaison between the company, the independent sales force and dealers. In addition, he will oversee domestic advertising, promotions, events and communications in the newly created position.

“Shawn is a highly respected and successful sales rep who has been instrumental in expanding Ride’s presence in the Rockies,” said Louis Boudreault, VP Sales & Marketing in North America. “He needs more room to operate. In his new role he will be a key player in growing Ride’s market share and brand presence nationwide.”

Penrod led Ride’s sales efforts in the Rockies for the past six years and previously worked in retail for Specialty Sports Ventures in the Denver market. He is originally from Boston and has been snowboarding for 20 years. “I’ve always been excited about Ride and it’s commitment to core snowboarders, even when I was working in retail,” Penrod said. “It’s

Penrod will relocate from Denver to Seattle in November and start in his new position immediately.
