Seattle, WA (December 4, 2009) — Ride Snowboards has added yet another half-pipe destroyer to its rookie team arsenal in the form of Matt Ladley, an explosive rider out of Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Ladley’s latest accomplishments include a second-place finish and best trick at the 2009 Artic Challenge, second at the 2009 Killington Grand Prix Halfpipe, and halfpipe champion at the 2007 Revolution Tour. He’s also scored a slew of top 20-finishes in slopestyle and halfpipe contests during the past three seasons.

Ladley has been training hard expanding his bag of tricks, including back-to-back 1080s in his halfpipe run and a double cork frontside ten crowd pleaser. Ladley’s secret weapon, cab 9 and style for miles, make him the kid to watch in the race to Vancouver in 2010.

“Matt has always been a kid to keep your eyes on ever since winning the U.S. Open Junior Jam halfpipe back in 2005,” says Matt Sickels, Ride’s team manager. “Matt backed up that win with a halfpipe gold at nationals later that year, proving he was no joke at the young age of 13, Now at the age of 18, he brings experience, maturity and a new perspective to carry himself to new heights. It’s an exciting time to have a talent like Matt on our team.”

“I’m stoked to be with Ride,” Ladley said. “I can’t wait to see where we can take things in the next few years. I’m really happy to be on good product and have the opportunity to grow with a solid sponsor.”

Matt will be boosting airs on Ride’s Society 151 snowboard and Delta bindings during the 2009-10 season.
