Finally, November 21st was here and Park City Mountain Resort was opening. The long awaited debut of Jeremy Cooperʼs new Park City park was here. We heard he made the move from June Mountain and knew the great park he built there. Although mother nature has not yet unleashed her fury on Utah, Park City Resort has been hard at work making snow in order to get a run open. Not only did they get a run open they enabled Jeremy to have a really fun park set up and ready to rock. I rolled up with my friend Jason Hindman to ride some lifts, make some turns and experience a taste of the amazing park to come. A storm was rolling in and the weather wasn't supposed to be very nice, but no worries, cuz at Park City you donʼt have to put your boots on in the cold. Park City has underground parking which allows you to get ready in complete comfort. To our relief they had Payday their high speed 6 pack running and moved the large crowds to the top of the hill pretty quickly. Big lines ready to ride on paydayOnce on the hill we met up with a number of friends, Nick Fucca, John John Steward, Tom Flocco and Griffen Siebert. The run was really fun and the park was an awesome show of the resortʼs dedication to park building. Especially considering the conditions they had to work with. The park started with a top section which consisted of a 2 Jump line of 20-25 footers, into 3 different street style down bars/boxes and a large metal ball on a pillar of snow. The bottom section had one side with 3 mini roller/jump line and a couple of boxes. And on the other side, a line with a double box, to cone bonk, to barrel bonk and finishing with a straight pipe. We rode from 9am to 3:30pm and had an amazing time. Big thanks to Park City Resort and Jeremy Cooper for having a really fun set up really to go on opening day.
