Last weekend Mammoth was filled with with love, great energy, and friends coming together. There was more than one party every night, snowboarding every day...
movie premieres, bands, djs... and the I AM SNOWBOARDING art exhibition for Jeff Anderson.

Artists that came out for the opening included Jamie Lynn, Mike Parillo, Trevor Graves, Chris Brunkhardt, Blotto, Shane Charlebois, Devon Weniger, Cheyenne Ellis, Matty Thompson, Ben Brough, Bryan Iguchi, Danny Zapalac, Ryan Boyes, Peter Stow, Brian Cook, Aaron Vujicic, Robert "Sticky" Shaw, Billy and Jane Anderson, and RYNo. The guest list reflected an even deeper picture of the snowboarding community as we've known it for the past two decades and beyond.

The Saturday night opening reception started a little early with the artists coming to see the work for the first time. Jane surprised all of them with hand-made boutonnieres from Red Lily, and each and every person wore theirs as a badge of honor. Guests started arriving promptly at Six pm, and the gallery was open well past the closing time of Nine pm with lights finally being dimmed around 11pm.

The auction of art was a complete success with 16 of the 19 prints available for silent auction going home with loving bidders. Asymbol donated two of their art pieces for the auction, the JDK posters were flying out the door, Analog/Blotto T-Shirts were available, Wille Luoma brought down special Jeff Anderson coffee from his Portland, OR Heart Coffee and Roasting, Joe Weniger made special Devon art inspired wine bottles, and Blake Frenkiel made the special "i am...." stickers that found their way on to every single body and board.

Proceeds of I AM SNOWBOARDING go directly to the JLA Memorial Fund through the Mammoth Lakes Foundation, to the benefit of the Brothers Skateboard Park and local art. Saturday evening raised over $20K for the Fund, and the art will stay in Mammoth through November 29th before traveling.
