Bear Mountain continues to add new features for the holiday weekend

(Big Bear Lake, CA - November 25, 2009) - Snow Summit's Opening Day is Thanksgiving Thursday! Big Bear Mountain Resorts has announced that Snow Summit will open on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. Bear Mountain, which opened October 29th, is also open and will offer new features for the holiday weekend.

Big Bear Mountain Resorts will have 4 lifts open beginning tomorrow including Snow Summit's Chair 1-Miracle Mile and Chair 8-Bear Bottom Beginner area, as well as Bear Mountain's Chair 5-Central Park run and Inspiration run. Full services are available including ski school, food service and rentals. As snowmaking progresses, more lifts and runs will be available at both resorts.

"Our unmatched snowmaking system has allowed us to provide quality snow just in time for the holiday weekend," said Chris Riddle, Director of Marketing for Big Bear Mountain Resorts. "This is a perfect time to grab your gear, head up for the long weekend and enjoy the slopes on Thanksgiving, which traditionally kicks off our winter season."

Special early season rates will apply with discounted lift tickets available for only $35 for adults (22+), $30 for young adults (13-21) and $15 for children (7 - 12). One ticket is good for both resorts! Lift hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Online ticket reservations are strongly encouraged to guarantee your place on the snow this holiday weekend. This weekend also marks your last chance to purchase Screamin' Deal Season Passes which ends November 29th. With the season off and running, maximize your savings and add more value to your winter experience with the purchase of a season pass.
