Aspen/Snowmass, Colo., December 22, 2009 – In addition to all the action at Buttermilk for ESPN Winter X Games 14, Aspen/Snowmass is proud to present Ghostland Observatory, performing for FREE at the base of Aspen Mountain on Saturday, January 30 at 5:30 p.m. as a part of the ever popular Bud Light Hi-Fi Concert Series. Ghostland Observatory, known for their electronica infused Indie rock, is fronted by Aaron Behrens and joined by producer/drummer Thomas Turner. Behrens’ vocal style and stage performances are unique and uncompromising, drawing early comparisons to Freddie Mercury and Prince. Turner is heavily influenced by many artists from Daft Punk to rockers like David Bowie. For more information on the band, visit myspace.com/ghostlandobservatory. “Ghostland Observatory brings a show to Aspen that is one of the most unique, exciting and unbelievable performances out there. We are lucky to have secured them for their only stop in Colorado this winter,” says Deric Gunshor, Aspen Skiing Company, Senior Manager, Event Marketing. Lodging is still available during ESPN Winter X Games 14, January 28 – 31, 2010. Visit www.stayaspensnowmass.com for lodging rates.
