Despite snowboard season having only just begun here in China's capital, preparations are already well underway for the first major event of the Chinese snowboarding calendar. This December 26th local riders will be pushing their limits in an attempt to qualify for the 8th Red Bull Nanshan Open! The Quiksilver Nanshan Mellow Park will play host to the 8th Red Bull Nanshan Open National Qualifier this Boxing Day, drawing in snowboarders from all over the country as the 6 remaining spots in the 4Star TTR 8th Red Bull Nanshan Open (Jan 9-10) are put up for grabs. The qualifier is free to enter and open to anyone, so no matter your nationality, age, or riding ability we encourage you to participate! A wide range of spot prizes from Quiksilver, Dakine and NIKE 6.0 will be given out in all sorts of categories from Brightest Outfit to Oldest Rider, as well as (small) suitcases filled with cash to the first four rankings. With sweet prizes, a fun-and-friendly vibe and free Red Bull, come and support the locals as China's first snowboard event kicks off the winter season with a bang! Check the full rundown below: Rundown: Judging Criteria: Slopestyle (choose your line), best 1 of 3 runs counted. Judges will be looking at technical difficulty, execution, amplitude, style and landing. Any trick not landed is not counted, so work on stomping your tricks this month!
