Beijing, CHINA (November 19, 2009) - Hot off the press comes news that Red Bull and mellowparks.cn have confirmed they will be working together once again to bring you the 8th Red Bull Nanshan Open, held in Beijing, China. The largest Asian competition confirmed on the Swatch Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour so far this season, the event promises to continue its legacy as one of the most rider-friendly and well-organized events around.

A 4Star TTR World Snowboard Tour Slopestyle event, the competition offers up US$25,000 in prize money and 500 TTR points, and is held in China’s largest and finest snowpark - the Quiksilver Nanshan Mellow Park at Nanshan Ski Resort. The competition is the only TTR event taking place in China and will see 18 invited international riders compete with 6 locally qualified riders.

In recent years the Red Bull Nanshan Open has earned itself a reputation with riders as one of the most enjoyable competition trips in existence. A perfectly shaped snowpark and a full week’s worth of 5-star hotels, foot massages, fine dining and sightseeing await competitors that are lucky enough to be invited – and the inside word is that the parties get pretty wild as well!

With budget cuts and scheduling conflicts plaguing many events this season in Asia, Chinese snowboarding fans will be thrilled to have such a prominent event held on their home turf. Judging by it's successful past, the event’s eighth incarnation is guaranteed to be its best yet!
