Nearly three feet has fallen in the past seven days and over four feet since the New Year

Heavenly Mountain Resort, Calif./Nev. – January 21, 2010 – Lake Tahoe’s buried in snow from the big winter storm systems that have moved through the area. Nearly three feet of new snow has fallen on Heavenly Mountain Resort in the past seven days, combining with the West Coast’s Largest Snowmaking System and Heavenly’s expert grooming team to provide skiers and snowboarders with Lake Tahoe’s finest snow surface conditions.

Heavenly plans to operate all 29 lifts this weekend, providing access to all 4,800 acres of Heavenly’s epic terrain. Also on tap for the weekend is Heavenly’s new tubing hill, featuring five, 500-foot-long lanes accessed by a 450-foot covered, elevated magic carpet.

With an expected break in the storm systems this weekend, Saturday and Sunday are predicted to be some of the best days this season to date. Roadways are expected to be clear this weekend and travel from Reno Tahoe International Airport will be convenient via the South Tahoe Express.
