Squaw Valley, USA – March 1, 2010 – The third stage of the Freeride World Tour was held today Monday on the Silverado venue in Squaw Valley USA. With its playful terrain the riders put up a great show for the hundreds of cheering locals, pushing the limits with a ‘best of two runs’ format. The high point of the day was the women stepping up the game with a great level of riding, taking the same big cliff jumps as the men and creative line choices. Local Squaw Valley skier and Freeride World Tour wild card Jaclyn Paaso was without a doubt the biggest crowd pleaser. She took a massive cliff jump at the bottom of the face, faster and higher than most of the men, challenging them for the second heat.

Lib Tech Giving Away 5 Free Snowboards for VholdR's Top5 “Snowboarding” Contest

(Seattle, WA) February 22, 2010 – Lib Tech is stepping up to give away a FREE 2011 Travis Rice snowboard to the winner of the annual Top5 “Snowboarding” Video Contest. Along with the FREE Travis Rice board, Lib Tech is giving boards to 2nd through 5th place as well. Winners are selected for having the best snowboarding videos on the VholdR.com community.

This is a snowboard competition held in memory of Nate Chute, and has turned into one of the most prolific snowboard events in the NW. Now, many of his friends come back to Whitefish from all over the west coast to participate in this event. A portion of the proceeds go to the Nate Chute Memorial Fund which provides help to local teens and adolescents during times of need. Cash prizes for Pro/Open categories, with a purse of $3500.

This is the third and final Night Riders Park Series event of 2010, a Slopestyle competition. Slopestyle events provide the best opportunity for skiers and snowboarders to throw down their best tricks on full runs through the Fishbowl Terrain Park, using as many Jumps and Rail features as possible.

Competitors will be judged on their performance of different tricks. Each competitor will get two runs where judges will pick the top rider for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in all categories, based on overall impression, style and difficulty.

Registration starts at 3pm. Competition starts at 6pm. $25

Features include a 17-stair handrail/concrete ledge, the Gong, a quarter pipe wall ride, picnic table combo, the Chain Link, the Euro Gap and others. Jam format. Rider/skier, male/female divisions with separate age categories.
