Words: J Smith Photos: Jennie Milton Last weekend, the Bridger Gully Freeride Competition went off at Bridger Bowl, MT. Primarily a local under the radar event - it was a one day throwdown off Bridger's legendary Ridge that pitted skiers and riders against each other in one big mashup. The top three men were: 1. It was an exciting come from behind win for Torah Bright in the halfpipe finals. Torah qualified first going into the finals and with a two-run format, Torah had a great chance at winning a medal. Her first run however ended up with a crash and Torah found herself in last place with only one run to go. With all eyes on Torah, who was the favorite to win gold, Bright put down a near perfect second run and took gold. The gold medal run was highlighted by a switch backside 720, one of the most technical tricks ever performed by a female rider in competition.
