Tune into NBC Sports on Saturday, February 14 at 3:00pm EST to see all the action unfold from US Snowboarding Grand Prix at Boreal Mountain Resort. Re-live all the excitement as Steve Fisher and Hannah Teter throw down gold winning runs in the 22’ half pipe. Then, watch the nail-biting race to the finish as Tahoe local Nate Holland and Vermont native Lindsey Jacobellis take the top podium spots in the first stop of the Snowboardercross Championship series of the US Snowboarding Grand Prix presented by Visa.

The Storm Has Cleared, Bluebird Skies & Fresh Pow Pow

Winter has officially arrived. Stormy skies over Boreal for the last 14 days have brought 123 inches of new snow. The snow clouds have cleared and now is the best time to ride the powdery conditions under sunny skies. Boreal Mountain operates from 9am-9pm daily, with night riding beginning at 3:15 for just $25. YAYA! Check out the borealterrainpark.com blog for the latest info on park features and other fun stuff.

Boreal Mountain’s sister resort, Soda Springs Winter Resort is excited to announce that the mountain will open for business on Saturday, December 20th. Celebrating its 68th year in operation, visitors can expect to see a variety of improvements to the resort including a new 320ft. moving carpet and a bigger, better Planet Kids. Soda Springs snow play and ski area is geared for families, because kids rule at Soda.

Break out your creative computer skills for a chance to win a grip of swag from the Boreal prize locker. The Winner will also have their artwork featured on Boreal’s wallpaper images set to launch on the website later this season. Use your creative vision to interpret Boreal Mountain. It can be a super artsy collage or just photo’s of a fun day you had on the hill. Follow these simple guidelines and to enter to win! Limit one submission per person.

Despite the warm temperatures and rumors we have been hearing around the Tahoe area, Boreal Mountain Resort is OPEN and will remain open 7 days a week from 9-4. Escape to Boreal for some early season shredding for only $30 all day for adults and just $15 for children 5-12. Boreal's NEW Castle Peak Quad takes skier’s and snowboarder's 400 ft. higher on the beginning South 40 and Kiss a Bear trails. The terrain park is currently open with 10 features which include a variety of boxes, rails and tabletops. Escape the couch, Escape to Boreal.
